    I love photo manipulation! Have a look... she is waking up! The sculpture is alive! Thanks to the beautiful model I have created a nice piece of art. You can find more information on the page "Practice and Progress" (with "before" and "after" examples).

  • 22th January 2011 - New Speed Painting

    One of my favourite digital paintings. I have not seen the real jungles yet, but my imagination is far - reaching... I imagine that the magic, like the one in the picture, should be hiding deep in the Amazon Rainforest... It took me only a couple of hours - rough, quick, innocent and green.

    Just for practice. I thought I should work more with texts, words, typography as this field is very new for me. Any good advice?

Short Biography:

My name is Ligita Barauskaite. I was born in 1984 in Lithuania. Since I was a child, I have always been very creative. My mom and dad were artists. I grew up in a small village with a beautiful nature which was the main source of inspiration for me. In the secondary school my passion was oil painting. I had some personal painting exhibitions and soon hereafter I have started my very first art jobs. I have studied in Lithuania and in 2008 I have received a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Art (2004 – 2008). Immediately after, I have started my
MA Digital Art studies at the Norwich University College of the Arts, UK (2008 – 2010) and in autumn of 2010 I have been awarded with the degree of Master of Arts.
Adobe Photoshop is a powerful tool which I use in my everyday work. As an animator, I mostly use Adobe After Effects and as a second choice – Adobe Flash. Sometimes I also use Autodesk 3D Max for creating 3d motion effects, however, I have only basic knowledge of this program.
Other programs I work with are Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Dreamweaver.

Trumpa biografija:

Sveiki užsukę! Mano vardas Ligita Barauskaitė, man 27 metai ir nuo tada, nuo kada save tik prisimenu, visada buvau kūrybingas žmogus. Užaugau mažame miestelyje, pasakiškos gamtos apsupty, prie neapsakomo grožio upės, todėl negalėjau kitaip, turėjau tapti tokia, kokia esu šiandien! Mokyklos laikais, esu surengusi keletą savo aliejinės tapybos parodų, po, kurių po truputi ėmiau užsidirbti. Tuomet ir pastebėjau, kad tai gali būti ne tik hobis, bet ir mylimas, mėgstamas darbas visam gyvenimui. Po mokyklos baigimo aš ir toliau studijavau Lietuvoje - 2008 m. baigiau Šiaulių universiteto Audiovizualio meno bakalauro studijas ir iškart po to įstojau į Anglijos Norwicho universiteto menų koledžo skaitmeninių menų studijas. Po dviejų metų grįžau į Lietuvą, turėdama skaitmeninių menų magistrą.
Pagrindinė programa, su kuria dirbu daugiausiai yra Adobe Photoshop, antroje vietoje – Adobe Illustrator. Animacijai puikiai tarnauja Adobe After Effects ir Adobe Flash. Kartais naudoju 3D Max’ą, bet su šia programa dar tik mokausi dirbti.
